About InterNetwork

Broadcasting on the internet since 1996

There aren't many companies that can say they were here from the start, but we can. InterNetwork Broadcasting began 24/7 programming at a time when there were no more than a handful of companies pioneering the netcast industry. Today, InterNetwork Broadcasting remains one of the only companies that have remained intact while others have been bought, dissected, altered, absorbed, or completely shut down.

Why is that important? InterNetwork Broadcasting's expertise in the field of audio and video netcasting has been able to consistently grow through ALL the developments in audio and video technology. In 1997, at a time when our technology was the only technology to offer video, we hosted the first live internet broadcast from the summit of Mount Everest which was viewed in over 80 countries...amazing for that stage of netcast technology.

It's easy to find new netcasting companies reinventing the wheel and making all the simple mistakes as they rush into the business. But, if your netcasting needs are important, you can jump to the leader with unsurpassed experience in netcasting.

Welcome to InterNetwork Broadcasting!

What we do

InterNetwork Broadcasting provides our clients with complete audio and video internet broadcasting (netcasting) solutions regardless of the complexity. Whether you are looking for a one-time audio netcast or a 24/7 internet television system, InterNetwork Broadcasting can offer our pioneering expertise and guide you through the process.

The InterNetwork WebAnnounce system

Some of our clients want to get their voice message onto the internet with a minimum amount of equipment. In this case, minimum means none. They don't want to fuss with computers, encoders, or even internet connections. They are business people who are experts at what they do and need a system where all it takes is a telephone to post a voice message to their web site.

The InterNetwork WebAnnounce system addresses this need exactly. Now, you can pick up a phone and record a message that will automatically be accessible to visitors on your site. It's as easy as leaving a voicemail message! Want to learn more about equipmentless webcasting?

Traditional internet webcasting solutions

Our multi-platform expertise enables us to provide consultation and problem solving solutions for virtually any application. Even if you already have a netcasting system in place, InterNetwork Broadcasting professionals can work with you to maximize your system's quality and efficiency.

We like what we do, and look forward to discussing how to integrate internet streaming and multimedia to achieve your objectives. Whether you plan to netcast a program from your own laptop or need our camera crews and engineers to netcast a major event for you, InterNetwork Broadcasting offers a complete range of services to get the job done efficiently and economically.

Typical applications for InterNetwork's netcasting services:

  • Audio and video transfers to streaming internet formats
  • Radio station netcasts (24 hour streaming of programming)
  • Radio station special events or promotions (greater value for sponsors)
  • Radio program netcasts (available in hourly blocks of time)
  • Tradeshow and conference netcasts (live coverage on the net)
  • Intra-corporate netcasts (corporate videos and training sessions)
  • One time or regularly scheduled audio and video netcasts
  • Netcast technology consulting (encoders, servers, networks, programming)

In some cases, a client may already be utilizing a particular streaming system but requires significantly more equipment or bandwidth for a special event. InterNetwork Broadcasting will use the same streaming platform in order to compliment existing programs. For example, if a radio station streams their audio using Real Player, we would also use the Real Player format for a live event.

Our netcast solutions can utilize any of the following streaming systems to accomodate your needs:

Real Player (Real Networks)
Multi-rate audio and video
Windows Media Player (Microsoft)
Multi-rate audio and video
Winamp Player (Nullsoft)
MP3 audio only
Macast Player (@soft)
MP3 audio only

Click HERE to visit our event video page. There you'll see samples of videos streamed at multiple rates to accomodate the largest number of viewers.

Some programs and events don't need to be netcast live. In this case, you could send us a CD, cassette, or video tape that you made and we'll encode it in any streaming format for you. This can be a great way to promote an event or allow others who missed it to see and hear what it was like.

InterNetwork Broadcasting can also save your company or organization money by showing you how to host your audio or video clips on your own site. In many cases, there's no need to be paying other companies for hosting when your site can be set up to do the job. We will be happy to discuss these and other economical solutions.

If your company is already netcasting programs and are looking for ways to improve the quality and efficiency of your operations, we can offer helpful solutions for any streaming media system. Our specialty is designing custom netcasting systems and we can work with your web team to maximize the use of your existing equipment or provide options for future growth and expandability.

Our history

InterNetwork Broadcasting was founded in 1995 with the goal of becoming an international network (internetwork) for distributing audio and video programming to businesses and consumers via the internet. The first live netcast took place in May 1996, and since then, InterNetwork has expanded to include a variety of live and on-demand (archived) audio and video programming.

In May 1997, InterNetwork teamed up with GeoNavigator to netcast the first live audio/video transmission from the summit of Mt. Everest. This led to another strategic partnership with Alpha Net, a company that uses highly specialized audio/video compression equipment with satellite communications systems. Some of AlphaNet's offerings include wireless audio/video transmitters and receivers plus portable satellite uplinks.
Over the years, InterNetwork Broadcasting has developed relationships with dozens of companies including radio stations throughout the U.S. and the world and group owners like AMFM and Clear Channel.
