There has been a lot of interest in seeing the video highlights of the activities from the Vintage Radio & Communications Museum from December 11, 2021 but the original live stream ran a whopping five hours and forty minutes of mostly museum ambiance.

Instead, you can check out the hand-picked, gristle-free, lean cuts of my favorite moments from the links below:

1) Mike K3FEF tests his wireless camera with a self-tour of the Vintage Radio & Communications Museum.

(Yeah, the video locks up at 20:34)

2) Bob Allison WB1GCM gives a more formal and detailed narrated tour of the museum.

(Try to ignore the preview screens to the right, and of course, the video locks up at 56:40)

3) Bob Allison WB1GCM shows off some really cool cylinder and disk phonographs with LOTS of interesting discussion and demonstrations. You'll also learn where the expression "put a sock in it" came from. Antique telephone enthusiasts will also get a treat.

(Too many microphones were on. Gotta mentally focus!)

4) The 1BCG transmitter! A replica of the one that sent the first message ever to span the Atlantic by an amateur radio station on December 11, 1921, one hundred years to the day earlier! Bob Hobday N2EVQ provides some info on the transmitter and the Antique Wireless Museum where the transmitter is kept.

5) Bruce Godley Littlfield displays his large collection of notes and pictures from his grandfather, Paul Godley 2ZE.

(This one will take some very focused concentration. Sorry about the audio.)

6) John Facella K9FJ, President of the Radio Club of America discusses his club's key role in the 1921 Transatlantic Tests (spoiler alert: All of the 1BCG operators were RCA members). He also has a very significant family connection to the event!

7) John Ellsworth, President of the Vintage Radio & Communications Museum, explains and demonstrates their enormous Tesla coil with florescent lamps and significant sparks! You can almost smell the ozone!

8) The 1BCG replica transmitter on the air!

(Includes crapouts, troubleshooting, and plenty of saggy pants shots)

9) BANG! What was that?!?! (hint: It wasn't a Viking Valiant).

10) Bob Allison WB2GCM steps in to calm the viewers.

11) We find out what went BANG!  Ever seen a **** explode?

12) BANG! + FIZZ! (Hey, this is amateur radio...)
