About Jim Thompson

Jim Thompson has been involved in broadcasting for over thirty years. He has appeared on radio and television in the United States both as a newsman and a performer. Following service in the U.S. Army, he appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. He grew up in ten countries and speaks Spanish, French, and some Italian. Jim Thompson was News Director at WGCH in Greenwich, CT for over two decades and anchored the morning news program "Greenwich This Morning". Other places of employment include Cablevision of Connecticut, WNCN-FM New York, NY, WTIC AM/FM/TV Hartford CT, WHYN-TV Springfield MA, WTTT-AM Amherst MA, WCVI Connellsville, PA, and Armed Forces Radio and Television, U.S. Army. Jim currently hosts "Mario Lanza And Friends" (mariolanzaandfriends.com), a weekly program available worldwide on the internet.
